The following rules shall apply to FEMALE students residing in the nursing hostels of Violation of any rule will make the inmate liable to disciplinary action including expulsion from the hostels and also from institution:-
1. Every student must remember that the hostel is the home of the student on the campus and therefore, she should behave herself on the campus as well as outside in such a manner as to bring credit to her and to the institution.
2. student once admitted in the hostel will continue to be a hostel inmate throughout the course unless otherwise debarred from the hostel on disciplinary grounds. Unless they clear the dues, they shall not be allowed to take university examinations. further, she may be expelled from the halls of residence and/or messes.
3. All the student are instructed to use cell phone during mentioned hours as prescribed by the college authority time to time. if any student found using phone other than mentioned time, their phones will be taken by the authorities and also will be fined Rs. 100/- minimum.
4. Hostel inmates are requested to maintain their surroundings neat and clean.
5. It is mandatory for students residing in the Hostel to join the mess attached to the hostel. Hostellersarerequiredtodineinthedininghall.Nohostellerispermittedtotakefoodin the room except for those reported sick with prior permission of hostel warden. Indoor cooking including making of tea/coffee/noodles in the rooms is strictly prohibited. The hostellers shall not waste food, electricity & water. Wastage of food is national loss.
6. Every student residing in the hostel must dine in the hostel messes only. Individual/group cooking in the rooms is forbidden. If found, they will be expelled from hostel or fined. Cookinginhostelroomsisnotpermitted.Allinstructions/noticesdisplayedonnotice boardswillbedeemedtohavebeenreadbyallresidentsandexcusesfornon-compliance of such instructions and notices will not be accepted. Residents are advised to look at thenoticeboardeverydaytoacquaintthemselveswithlatestinformation/orders.
7. HostelstudentsshallnotleavetheheadquarterswithoutpriorpermissionoftheWarden/Chief Warden. They shall have to apply for permission in writing in advance stating the reason for leaving and the address of destination. Hostel students who leave hostel without the application and prior permission from the concerned authorities shall be deemed to be missing and their parent/guardian or even the police authorities may be intimated.
8. Accommodation in the hostel cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Students who disturb peaceandviolatetherulesofthehostelsonthecampuswillbeexpelledfromthehostels.
10. Permission of warden must be obtained to stay beyond the allotted hours.
11. No parent or guardian of a student is permitted to stay in the hostel.
12. Any hostel student harboring any unauthorized person(s) will be expelled from the hostel immediately. Residents returning late to their Hostels will be fined. The HOIs and Parents of residents coming very late or who are habitual offenders will be informed. In acute cases the resident may have to vacate the Hostel
13. No resident of the hostel is permitted to take any article/utensils etc, outside the hostel Mess premise and even to his/her room. No one should use the belongings of other students without their consent.
15. The hostellers are neither allowed to keep private electrical equipment nor would tamper withelectricalfittingsprovidedinrooms.Unauthorizedpossessionwillleadtoconfiscation of the goods. Each student shall use only one tube-light not exceeding 40 watts. Use of all unauthorized electrical appliances such as heaters etc., is strictly prohibited and these will be confiscated, and the concerned student will be penalized. However, usage of computer and printer in the hostel room will be allowed with prior permission from the Chief War- den. Fans and lights must be switched off when the students leave their rooms. Light must be switched off positively when they go to bed. In case it is noticed that fans/lights are on the locked room, a heavy penalty will be imposed for wasting the costly energy sources. No televisions are permitted to be kept in the hostel rooms by the students. Students have to watch TV in the common TV room provided in the hostels.
16. The Chief Warden/ Warden or his representative may enter any room for verification at any timeofthedayornight.Theroomofanystudentinthehostelcanbeinspectedatany timebytheWarden/ChiefWardenoranyauthorisedmemberoftheinstitutestaffor districtpoliceofficials.InmatesareadvisedtokeeptheirIDcardswiththemandshow them on demand.
17. The hostellers themselves are personally responsible to safeguard their belongings. They are advised not to keep large amounts of cash or valuables like gold ring, costly wristwatch etc.,intheirrooms.TheyshouldalsotakecareoftheirPurse,Calculators,CellPhones, Lap tops, and Books. In case of theft or loss of any item the hostel authorities/institute will not be responsible for such loss. The hostellers are advised to keep their boxes, suitcases, cupboards, etc., securely locked with good quality locks. They are advised to deposit extra cashinthebankorinthepostofficeoratanyothersafeplace.Allresidentsmusttake care of their ATM/ Debit cards. They must not disclose their PIN to anybody- even to their best friends
18. The residents are forbidden to keep any heavy cash/ valuables in the room. The resident is responsible for the safety of his/her items inside the rooms. Giving the room keys to any person(except the Block Supervisors/Caretakers/Wardens)in good faith is at their own risk. The management will not take any responsibility for any loss of such costly articles /money. They may deposit all sums of money not immediately required by them for their expenses in the local Banks.
